Questions, answered
Everything you need to know before you sign up — no jargon, no fine print.
What is Al-Haytham?
Al-Haytham is a multi-engine business platform for Pakistan. You run Orders (trading and inventory), Hostels, or Payroll on one shared double-entry ledger — one login, one set of books. Start with a single engine and add more as you grow; every figure reconciles to the paisa.
Do I need an accountant to use it?
No. Al-Haytham keeps a real double-entry ledger for you behind the scenes — every order, payment and pay run posts balanced journal entries automatically. You work in plain business terms (bill a client, pay a salary, record a cost) and the books stay balanced on their own.
Is it built for Pakistan?
Yes. Everything is in Pakistani rupees, shown in full and never abbreviated. Payroll computes FBR income tax, EOBI, provident fund and gratuity, and posts them to the ledger; Orders handles GST and receivables. The whole platform is designed around how businesses here actually run.
Can I run more than one business on one account?
Yes. One login can hold several isolated workspaces side by side — each with its own books — and you switch between them in a click. You can invite partners by Organization ID, and authority lives in the database, not just on the screen, so every workspace stays fully separated.
How much does it cost, and do I need a card to start?
You can create your workspace for free with no card required. Paid plans are priced per engine in rupees, with a discount when you take the whole set — see the Engines and pricing page for the current figures, which are always shown in full PKR.
How do I know the numbers are right?
Al-Haytham is built on an append-only double-entry ledger: debits always equal credits, and every report is derived from that one ledger rather than typed in by hand. Money is treated as exact integer paisa, so there is no rounding drift — the till is always honest and always balances.
One platform. Every kind of business.
Create your workspace, pick your engines, and run the day on one shared ledger — reconciled to the paisa.
