Terms of Service

Al-Haytham (“Al-Haytham”, “we”, “us”) is a business software platform operated from Pakistan. It runs Orders, Hostels, Payroll, Medical & Dental Billing, and HR. Orders, Hostels, and Payroll share one double-entry ledger; Medical & Dental Billing and HR & Documents work beside it. By creating an account or using the service, you (“you”, “your business”) agree to these terms.

You sign up with an email and a password. To set up a business you also give its name and your setup code; to join one you give its Business ID. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your account. Let us know promptly if you think someone else has gained access.

You must give accurate information and be old enough, and authorised, to enter into these terms on behalf of your business.

Al-Haytham does not offer a self-serve free trial. A new business is set up with our sales team: we agree the engines and the price with you, then send you a setup code that you use to set up your business.

A business set up this way starts with a free trial of the length we agree with you. When the trial ends, its engines stop working until your paid plan starts.

To join a business that already uses Al-Haytham, you ask to join using its Business ID, or use an invite code from it. The business’s owner decides whether to let you in.

Prices are in Pakistani Rupees (PKR). We do not list prices on the site: our sales team agrees the price with you before your plan starts. Pricing can change over time — for example, as we add engines or adjust plans — and any price change applies going forward, not retroactively to a period you have already paid for.

You only pay for what you have chosen. Taxes, where they apply, may be added on top.

Al-Haytham is a subscription service. Once your plan starts, you pay for each billing period we agreed with you (for example, each month). Each payment keeps your engines on until the end of the period it covers. If a payment is late, your engines pause after a short grace period until it is paid. You can cancel at any time — see section 5 — and cancelling stops future billing.

You can stop using Al-Haytham at any time. There is no lock-in: cancel by closing your account or by contacting us at support@alhaytham.app. On cancellation you stop being billed going forward; we do not refund a period already paid unless we say otherwise in writing.

Your data is yours. Before you leave, you can export or request a copy of the records you entered. See our Privacy Policy for how that works.

When using Al-Haytham, you agree not to:

• use it for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or to harm others;
• try to break, overload, probe, or gain unauthorised access to the service or another tenant’s data;
• resell or sublicense the service without our written agreement;
• upload malware, or content you do not have the right to use.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules or puts the platform or other customers at risk.

The data you enter belongs to you. You give us permission to store and process it only so we can run the service for you. The software, design, and brand of Al-Haytham belong to us.

We work hard to keep Al-Haytham accurate, available, and secure, and the ledger is built to reconcile to the paisa. But the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. Al-Haytham is a tool to help you run your business — it is not a substitute for professional accounting, tax, or legal advice. You are responsible for checking your own numbers and meeting your own obligations.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Al-Haytham is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses — including lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the three months before the claim arose.

We may update these terms as the product and the law evolve. When we make a material change, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know. Continuing to use Al-Haytham after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts of Pakistan have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless mandatory local law says otherwise.
