1. Who we are
Al-Haytham (“Al-Haytham”, “we”, “us”) is a business software platform operated from Pakistan. It runs Orders, Hostels, and Payroll on one shared double-entry ledger. By creating an account or using the service, you (“you”, “your business”) agree to these terms.
2. Your account
You sign up with an email and a password, and tell us a little about your business. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your account. Let us know promptly if you think someone else has gained access.
You must give accurate information and be old enough, and authorised, to enter into these terms on behalf of your business.
3. The free trial
New workspaces start with a free trial — currently 60 days. The trial length is not a permanent promise: we may change it for future signups. Any change to the trial length applies going forward and never shortens a trial that has already started.
4. Pricing and payment
Prices are shown in Pakistani Rupees (PKR). Pricing can change over time — for example, as we add engines or adjust plans. We will show current prices on the site, and any price change applies going forward, not retroactively to a period you have already paid for.
You only pay for what you have chosen. Taxes, where they apply, may be added on top.
5. Cancellation
You can stop using Al-Haytham at any time. There is no lock-in: cancel by closing your account or by contacting us at support@alhaytham.app. On cancellation you stop being billed going forward; we do not refund a period already paid unless we say otherwise in writing.
Your data is yours. Before you leave, you can export or request a copy of the business records you entered. See our Privacy Policy for how that works.
6. Acceptable use
When using Al-Haytham, you agree not to:
- use it for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or to harm others;
- try to break, overload, probe, or gain unauthorised access to the service or another tenant’s data;
- resell or sublicense the service without our written agreement;
- upload malware, or content you do not have the right to use.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules or puts the platform or other customers at risk.
7. Your content and our service
The business data you enter belongs to you. You give us permission to store and process it only so we can run the service for you. The software, design, and brand of Al-Haytham belong to us.
8. The service is provided “as is”
We work hard to keep Al-Haytham accurate, available, and secure, and the ledger is built to reconcile to the paisa. But the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. Al-Haytham is a tool to help you run your business — it is not a substitute for professional accounting, tax, or legal advice. You are responsible for checking your own numbers and meeting your own obligations.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Al-Haytham is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses — including lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the three months before the claim arose.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product and the law evolve. When we make a material change, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know. Continuing to use Al-Haytham after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts of Pakistan have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless mandatory local law says otherwise.
